About

Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a mission-driven Dietary Consultant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team serving underserved communities. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based nutrition care that supports holistic health and wellness for patients across the lifespan. Working closely with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and community health workers, you will complete detailed nutritional assessments, interpret relevant clinical data, and develop individualized, culturally appropriate care plans that align with medical diagnoses and treatment goals. The Dietary Consultant will deliver one-on-one and group counseling focused on chronic disease prevention and management, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. You will educate patients and families on practical strategies such as meal planning on a budget, reading food labels, portion control, and increasing access to healthy foods despite economic or environmental barriers. You will document all encounters, care plans, and progress notes accurately in the Electronic Health Record, and contribute to tracking outcomes that demonstrate meaningful improvements in patient health. This position is an integral part of a collaborative, community-focused care model. You will participate in wellness workshops, group classes, and community outreach events that reflect Good Samaritan’s commitment to compassion, integrity, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with diverse, high‑risk populations, demonstrates strong communication and motivational interviewing skills, and is passionate about reducing health disparities through nutrition. Good Samaritan offers a supportive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes professional growth, ongoing learning, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on patient and community well‑being.
