About

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in a dynamic hospital environment serving the Upstate New York community. As an LPN with MVHS, you will provide direct, hands‑on nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and other licensed providers, supporting a wide range of medical and surgical patients. In this role, you will perform routine assessments such as measuring vital signs, monitoring patient status, documenting observations, and promptly reporting changes in condition to the RN or provider. You will administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and MVHS policies, maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, and assist with procedures, wound care, and specimen collection. The LPN will support patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort measures, while promoting safety, infection prevention, and fall‑prevention protocols. You will collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, therapists, and other healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team that values teamwork, respect, and open communication. The LPN will participate in patient and family education, reinforcing care instructions and discharge plans, and will help coordinate care transitions to other units or care settings. MVHS emphasizes a supportive, respectful culture and encourages professional development, offering opportunities to grow clinical skills, cross‑train in different units, and pursue career advancement. This position is ideal for an LPN who is dedicated to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care, can prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced hospital setting, and is committed to upholding MVHS standards of safety, service excellence, and community health.
