About
The Clinical/Testing Psychologist will conduct structured and semi-structured diagnostic interviews, select and administer appropriate psychological tests, and interpret test results for children, adolescents, and/or adults depending on your expertise. You will complete integrated, clearly written psychological reports that address diagnostic questions, clarify differential diagnoses, and guide treatment planning, academic accommodations, and other clinical or functional recommendations. Typical evaluations may involve cognitive and intellectual assessment, personality and emotional functioning, ADHD and learning disorder evaluations, autism spectrum evaluations, and other specialized assessments relevant to your training.
Working within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals, you will collaborate on patient care, sharing assessment findings and participating in case consultation to ensure coordinated, holistic treatment. You will provide feedback sessions to patients and families, explaining results and recommendations in accessible language, and supporting them in understanding next steps for treatment, school or work accommodations, and community resources.
LifeStance offers a hybrid practice environment with opportunities for both telehealth and on-site clinical work, allowing flexibility in scheduling and patient engagement. You will use secure telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document assessments, maintain timely and accurate clinical records, and communicate with the care team in accordance with organizational, ethical, and legal standards. The position emphasizes adherence to professional codes of ethics, statewide practice regulations, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
This role is suited for a psychologist who values empowerment, quality, and collaboration, and who is motivated to contribute to a supportive culture grounded in respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement. LifeStance provides opportunities for professional growth, including consultation with experienced clinicians, participation in clinical meetings, and potential pathways for leadership or specialization over time. Clinical/Testing Psychologists are expected to maintain active licensure, engage in required continuing education, and uphold best practices for cultural competence, risk assessment, and patient safety.
Candidates should bring strong skills in test selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation; clear and concise clinical writing; and the capacity to manage a structured caseload of psychological evaluations. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, comfort with technology and telehealth, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential. Prior experience in outpatient mental health, hospital, or specialty assessment settings is highly valued and will support success in this position.
