About
Working closely with our interdisciplinary team—including nursing, rehabilitation, social services, and dietary—you will collaborate to coordinate care, monitor clinical progress, and adjust treatment plans as residents’ conditions evolve. You will manage acute and chronic conditions common in the geriatric and post-acute population, such as heart failure, COPD, diabetes, dementia, and complex wound care, while emphasizing prevention, functional improvement, and resident comfort. You will interpret diagnostic tests, order appropriate labs and imaging, and oversee medication management with a strong focus on safety, polypharmacy reduction, and regulatory compliance.
As an Attending Physician at Skilled Nursing of Silvis, you will play a central role in communicating with residents and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and care goals in a clear and compassionate manner. You will participate in care conferences, contribute to transitional care planning, and support advance care planning and end-of-life decision-making when appropriate. You will ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and help maintain adherence to state, federal, and facility policies and procedures, including infection control, quality assurance initiatives, and standards of care for skilled nursing facilities.
This position is well-suited for a physician who values collaborative practice, enjoys working in a team-oriented environment, and is motivated by the opportunity to build ongoing relationships with residents. Skilled Nursing of Silvis provides a supportive, collegial culture that encourages professional growth, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes. Here, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives every day while advancing your career in geriatric, post-acute, and long-term care medicine in a compassionate, on-site care setting.
