About

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in a dynamic hospital environment. As an LPN at MVHS, you will provide direct, hands-on nursing care under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians, supporting a wide range of patient needs across medical-surgical and specialty care areas. You will perform routine assessments such as taking vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications within your scope of practice, and assisting with treatments and procedures. You will collaborate closely with RNs and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized care plans, document patient status accurately in the electronic medical record, and promptly report changes in patient condition. In this role, you will provide bedside care, support activities of daily living, promote patient comfort and safety, and educate patients and families on medications, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment, follow infection prevention and hospital safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives that support excellent patient outcomes. MVHS offers a supportive, team-centered culture that emphasizes respect, communication, and employee well-being. As part of this environment, you will be encouraged to collaborate, seek guidance when needed, and contribute ideas to enhance patient care. You will have opportunities for professional growth, including unit-based education, skills development, and potential pathways to advance your nursing career. This role is ideal for an LPN who is committed to compassionate patient care, works well in a fast-paced setting, and is eager to be part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to improving community health in Upstate New York.
