About
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Rad Tech for a full-time, day-shift position within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic radiologic procedures to support accurate clinical decision-making and deliver safe, patient-centered care. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and established protocols, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, technique selection, and radiation safety practices. You will greet and prepare patients, explain procedures in a clear and compassionate manner, verify patient identity and exam orders, and maintain a calm, reassuring presence throughout the imaging process. The Rad Tech will operate and troubleshoot radiographic equipment, adhere to ALARA principles, and follow infection prevention and safety guidelines at all times. Responsibilities include documenting procedures in the electronic medical record, managing imaging data in PACS, collaborating with providers to clarify orders when needed, and promptly escalating any critical findings or equipment issues. You will contribute to workflow efficiency by prioritizing exams, assisting with patient transport and transfers when appropriate, and supporting a smooth patient experience across the department. At Piedmont Healthcare, you will be part of a non-profit, mission-driven organization dedicated to comprehensive care across Georgia. You will work in a culture that values respect, innovation, teamwork, and inclusion, where professional development is strongly supported. As a Rad Tech on days, you will have opportunities to expand your skills through ongoing training, cross-training to additional imaging modalities where appropriate, participation in performance improvement initiatives, and engagement in continuing education. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, safety-focused technologist who is committed to high-quality imaging, compassionate patient care, and effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
