About

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our imaging department. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT examinations for a diverse patient population, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Working with state-of-the-art CT scanners and PACS/RIS systems, you will follow established imaging protocols, optimize scan parameters, and consistently apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, visitors, and staff. You will verify physician orders, obtain relevant clinical history, and prepare patients for procedures by clearly explaining exams, screening for contraindications, and ensuring proper positioning and immobilization. With a strong emphasis on patient-care and safety, you will monitor patients during and after scans, respond promptly to changes in condition, and collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical team members to provide timely, high-quality imaging services. As a CT Technologist at Presbyterian Healthcare Services, you will demonstrate respect, integrity, and accountability in every interaction, maintaining strict adherence to infection control, privacy, and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for accurate documentation, exam labeling, and timely image transmission, as well as troubleshooting basic equipment issues and promptly reporting malfunctions. The role includes handling contrast media according to protocol, recognizing and reporting adverse reactions, and following departmental guidelines for IV access and medication safety. You will assist in developing and refining imaging protocols, participate in quality improvement and dose-reduction initiatives, and support accreditation and compliance efforts. Employees at Presbyterian Healthcare can expect a collaborative work environment where your expertise is valued and your professional growth is encouraged. You will have opportunities to precept or mentor newer technologists or students, attend ongoing education and training, and remain current with advancements in CT imaging and radiation safety. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a calm and reassuring presence for anxious or critically ill patients, and a commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care in alignment with Presbyterian’s mission to improve community health. This is a hospital-based CT Technologist role that may include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations to support 24/7 imaging services.
