About
The CT Tech will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for CT exams, reviewing orders and clinical histories, selecting appropriate protocols, and operating advanced CT scanners and related equipment. You will evaluate images for diagnostic quality, follow radiation safety and ALARA guidelines, and ensure all images and documentation are accurately captured in the PACS/RIS and electronic medical record systems. This position requires careful attention to patient identification, contrast administration protocols, infection prevention standards, and departmental policies and procedures.
Night shift work at Piedmont Healthcare involves a high level of autonomy and collaboration as you support emergency and critical care imaging needs, often for trauma, stroke, and acutely ill patients. You will prioritize and manage multiple stat and routine exams, communicate critical issues to radiologists and care teams, and contribute to efficient patient throughput while maintaining compassion and professionalism. Strong technical skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm and focused in urgent situations are essential.
As part of Piedmont Healthcare’s culture of respect, innovation, and teamwork, the CT Tech will actively participate in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will be encouraged to engage in ongoing training, cross-training, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in CT and related imaging modalities. This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to patient care while expanding your expertise in advanced imaging technology and protocols.
Candidates should bring prior experience in CT or radiologic technology, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT physics, and familiarity with contrast media use and safety.
