is seeking a
Junior
Data Analyst
to support the
Department of the Air Force (DAF)
financial reporting and data analytics efforts focused on
data analysis ,
reporting , and
process improvement activities
tied to
federal financial management
and
operational performance . The selected candidate will help develop
analytic products , support
reporting requirements , improve
data quality , and contribute to
automation initiatives
that enhance decision-making and business processes. This role requires an individual who can work onsite with government stakeholders, understand client operations and process flows, and translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in
data analysis and coding,
along with the ability to support
dashboards ,
reports ,
data cleansing , and other analytic deliverables in a
mission-focused environment . Only applicants who fully satisfy all required qualifications will be considered for further review. Salary:
$59,000 - $63,000/yr commensurate with experience. Work Location and Schedule: This position requires an
in-person
presence at
Camp Springs, MD / Joint Base Andrews
5 days per week .
Required Qualifications Must Have:
MUST
have a
Bachelors degree
from an accredited institution or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. MUST
have
2+ years
of relevant experience in
data analytics, reporting, databases,
or
related analytical support. MUST
have an
active Secret Clearance , with the ability to maintain eligibility. MUST
have fundamental background in Python. MUST
have experience with one or more of the following:
Python ,
SQL ,
R ,
Scala , or
Visual Basic. MUST
have experience creating or maintaining databases.??????? MUST
have experience developing data visualizations and analytic reports. MUST
have experience with data cleansing scripts, processes, and technical data analytics. MUST
have experience supporting
data analysis ,
reporting , and
business solution implementation. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with
Air Force
or
Department of Defense
datasets .
Working knowledge of
Databricks
.
Experience coding in
PySpark .
Experience supporting
federal financial reporting ,
audit , or
process improvement efforts
Experience working in a
fast-paced onsite government support environment.
Skills & Duties: Design ,
automate , and
implement
effective data analytics work products tailored to varied systems and programs.
Develop an understanding of
client operations ,
business processes , and
mission needs
and
align analytic outputs
accordingly.
Prepare and present clear, actionable
reports and recommendations to senior leadership .
