You will design and implement enhancements that fuse commercial software with in‑house automation, enabling predictive analytics and automated incident response, and driving efficiency gains. Your expertise will allow you to develop and refine workflows that incorporate cloud scalability, AI‑driven insights, and infrastructure‑as‑code, keeping our monitoring and fault‑management platforms state‑of‑the‑art.
Collaboration is essential. You’ll partner closely with internal architecture, engineering, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that are both robust and innovative. Your role will be pivotal in guiding the transformation of Visa’s network monitoring and configuration management into highly automated and resilient infrastructures.
Core objectives include:
Provide robust tooling solutions to ensure network reliability, performance, and security compliance.
Automate network monitoring operations to minimize manual intervention and reduce downtime.
Provide actionable analytics and reporting to inform network strategy and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with networking, security, and IT teams to address evolving infrastructure needs.
Reduce incident volume and provide root cause via automated triage and event correlation.
Integrate AI and GenAI into solutions to accelerate automation and improve diagnostics.
Responsibilities:
Engineer and operate network monitoring and automation tools (e.g., NetBrain, SevOne, ITNM).
Help design and implement enhancements that integrate commercial software with in‑house applications and automation.
Implement predictive analytics and automated incident response.
Provide root cause insights and reduce alert noise through event correlation.
Support configuration audits and compliance reporting.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Visa does not support immigration for this role.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
Hands‑on expertise in programming and scripting using Python or similar languages, and automating workflows with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems in production environments.
Hands‑on experience engineering, deploying, and operating vendor‑purchased, off‑the‑shelf network monitoring solutions (e.g., SevOne, ITNM, Netscout, NetBrain).
Strong skills in database management, including SQL and the integration of diverse data sources for comprehensive monitoring.
Understanding of SNMP, syslog, and modern observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), including their orchestration in hybrid on‑prem/cloud environments.
Proficiency in integrating monitoring solutions with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proven experience leveraging AI and GenAI technologies to improve efficiency.
Track record of driving operational excellence by creating automated systems and integrations.
Experience managing enterprise ITSM platforms for incident, request, and change management in 24x7 environments.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead complex incident resolution and root cause analysis.
Additional Information Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5‑10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment.

U.S. applicants only: The estimated salary range for this position is $104,600.00 to $162,300.00 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors that may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
