Commissioning Engineer
with strong experience working on DeltaV systems.
This role involves supporting the commissioning, qualification, and start-up of critical systems, ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, and EMA regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient plant start-up.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT to deliver key system upgrades and implement new technologies to the expanding operations at this site.
This is a challenging position within a project environment and will require flexibility and a creative approach to problem solving.
Reporting into one of the Snr Project Managers; this position sits within an established team of experts - both staff and contractors; You will work closely with this group to support the workload.
Lead commissioning and start-up of OEM packaged systems (CIP/SIP skids, pumps, compressors, filling & packaging equipment)
Configure, test, and troubleshoot DeltaV DCS (control modules, graphics, alarms, historian)
Execute FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, and support PQ activities
Perform loop checks, interlock testing, alarm verification, and HMI validation
Ensure integration between DeltaV and systems such as PLC, MES, SCADA, and LIMS
Support data integrity (21 CFR Part 11) and audit-ready documentation
Collaborate with QA/Validation teams to produce compliant documentation
Troubleshoot control system and instrumentation issues during commissioning
Deliver operator training and support system handover to operations
Experience
All applications must have a Degree in Engineering (Control Systems, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical) with a minimum of 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
The right person will have experience within a highly regulated GMP manufacturing operation - Pharma or chemical sectors preferable.
Strong understanding of batch processing, automation design, and control system troubleshooting.
Flexible approach to work and a positive attitude will be a good fit with the team dynamic.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. xcfaprz
Knowledge of GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation principles.
Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV
Knowledge of PID control, control loops, and tuning
Familiarity with communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, etc.)
Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
