As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on innovative solutions using new and current technologies. You will design and implement capabilities, often spanning multiple components.**You will:*** Contribute to the development and architecture of our industry-leading modern storage platforms and take part in the full software development life cycle, including development, test, continuous delivery, and maintenance.* Create detailed technical designs for new features and improvements. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all areas.* Work on discovery tasks and proof of concepts around modern networking solutions* Implement company standards and practices to ensure quality and security.* Coach and mentor more junior team members.## **Take the first step towards your dream career**## Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:## **Essential Requirements*** Solid programming skills with 5-8 years of related experience* Proficiency in C and/or Python; willingness to learn across the stack* Strong understanding of modern Linux, including the kernel, drivers, containers, early boot, and other low-level technologies* Analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills* Self driven, detail oriented, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks from design to implementation**Desirable Requirements*** Familiarity and hands-on experience with Storage systems* Knowledge about networking (ethernet, infiniband etc.)* Capacity to achieve proficiency in new tools, languages and frameworks with training and on-the-job experience* Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate in an Agile/ Scrum environment**Here’s our story; now tell us yours**Dell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
