Network Engineer - Secure Cloud Services (DV Security Clearance)
Position Description At CGI, you will help design and deliver secure, resilient network solutions that support mission-critical systems across the Space, Defence and Intelligence sector. As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling high-performance connectivity across complex environments, ensuring systems remain robust, secure and fit for purpose. Working with leading technologies and expert teams, you will take ownership of network challenges, contribute innovative solutions, and grow your capabilities within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based on site near Gloucester or in Central London 5 days a week.
Your future duties and responsibilities In this role, you will design, implement and support secure network infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring high levels of performance, resilience and security. You will take ownership of network components including routing, switching and security, contributing to both project delivery and operational support within complex, secure environments.
Working closely with engineering teams and Oracle partners, you will help deliver scalable and reliable connectivity solutions, applying innovative approaches to network engineering while being supported by experienced colleagues and a collaborative culture.
•Design & Deliver secure network infrastructure across hybrid environments
•Configure & Maintain routing, switching and network security components
•Integrate & Support connectivity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments
•Monitor & Optimise network performance, availability and resilience
•Troubleshoot & Resolve network incidents and technical issues
•Collaborate & Deliver with internal teams and external partners
•Report & Communicate network performance, risks and operational updates
Required qualifications to be successful in this role You should have strong experience in network engineering within enterprise or secure environments, with a solid understanding of routing, switching and network security principles. Experience supporting cloud-integrated networks and troubleshooting complex issues is essential.

•Strong proficiency in routing and switching technologies
•Solid understanding of network security principles and controls
•Experience with cloud networking concepts, including OCI awareness
•Experience in network monitoring and performance management
•Proven ability in troubleshooting and incident resolution
•Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and OCIR (desirable)
•Experience with firewalls, security appliances or network automation (advantageous)
•Understanding of secure environments and compliance requirements (advantageous)
