Quebec Highlands Animal Clinic is a small, but progressive general practice of 2.5 doctors, which allows us to provide a family-‐friendly atmosphere for both clients and team members. Please see our website, www.quebechighlandsvet.com, to learn what we have to offer. Technicians are given the following responsibilities which include but not limited to:
* Assisting clinicians with physical exams
* Preparing rooms for clinicians
* Venipuncture
* Placement of catheters
* Radiology, both general and dental
* Assisting with anesthesia, general and dental
* Assisting with surgeries as well as professional dental cleanings
* Running IDEXX diagnostics and variety of cytology samples
* Client education
Our current position involves:
* 4 weekdays and rotating ½ day Saturdays.
* We offer a starting salary of $20.00 to 26.00/hr. depending on experience.

* We also provide an Incentive Program which allows the team member to make up to another 1.00/hr. based on the quality of their work.

*Qualifications*
* Veterinary Technician Certification
* Proven veterinary experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
* Proficiency in animal handling, restraint, and catheterization techniques
* Knowledge of pet care and animal anatomy
* Experience with blood sampling and kennel management
* Familiarity with dental terminology and veterinary critical care practices
* Relevant skills in dog training, grooming, and X-ray procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
