MANAGER INTERVIEW About Facility:Olympia, WA107 bedsCOVID vaccine requiredGeneral Information:Beds: 8 rooms, 3 hallwaysWill you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, 2 yearsWill you accept a first-time traveler? NoPatient Types:Neonate to geriatric, from clinic acuity to critical acuityPatient Ratios:1:4 (days and nights)Required Licensure & Certifications:Licensure: RNBLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MHS tele exam; CPI or MOAB (preferredSkills required:General ER skillset: ETOH/drug abuse, cardiac, ortho, in the process of becoming a stroke center; no dialysisSupport on the Unit:CNA/Techs: 2 techs 7-7, 1 tech @ 11, 1 tech @ 3, 1 overnight (splints, EKGs, lab draws)Receptionist/HUC: NoCharge nurse: Free floatingPhlebotomy?IV/VAT Team?Resource Nurse: 9-9 most daysRT: 24-7Hospitalist: 24-7Telemetry monitoring: bedside and nurses’ stationTechnology/Equipment:EMR: EPICIV pumps: AlarisMedication dispensing: PyxisMonitors: GEFloating: If yes, where?NoneOrientation:4 hours of orientation with the clinical educator (get badge, login information, unit tour, policies/procedures)2-3 shifts on the unitPreceptor to then work “in the numbers” to get feel for flow, resources, where supplies are, etc. for approx. 2-3 weeks before being paired with new gradTraveler Telemetry Competency Required Required to be completed and passed prior to start.
