Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support large-scale optical networks
Troubleshoot and resolve complex fiber and transport issues
Perform OTDR testing and analyze fiber performance
Collaborate with carriers to resolve dark fiber issues
Present network designs, risks, and solutions to stakeholders
Support deployments, including weekend work when required
Drive enterprise-level initiatives across global teams
Required Technical Skills
Strong expertise in
DWDM/CWDM technologies
Knowledge of optical transport systems, amplifiers, multiplexers, transponders
Hands‑on experience with
OTDR testing
(span loss, bends, degradation)
Experience with carrier‑grade platforms:
Adva FSP3000
Ciena 6500
Desired Skills
Ethernet: STP, 802.1Q, VPC, Multilayer Switching, Leaf-Spine Fabric
Routing: RIP, OSPF, BGP, MP‑BGP, TCP/IP
Cisco & Arista switching platforms
Security concepts: Zero Trust, Least Privilege, Defense in Depth
Strong ownership and accountability
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
Ability to work onsite (hybrid flexibility with approval)
