Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work within a collaborative team focused on maintaining and scaling up our production infrastructure. The successful candidate will work as part of a team focused on site reliability, security, and scalability as we manage our rapid growth. You will be involved in all aspects, from helping us maintain our on‑prem solutions and define and implement AWS/Cloud infrastructure best practices, to evaluating different approaches and hands‑on implementation. You will also plan continuous improvements and work on our CI/CD pipelines. • 
  
• Work closely with the operations team
  
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to improve on existing deployment processes
  
• Perform application updates
  
• Implement security projects on various server and networking platforms
  
• Installation, monitoring and maintenance of hardware and software
  
• Write scripts to automate jobs/processes
  
• Ensure the security, stability and uptime of production, staging and development environments
  
• Monitor the above environments and react to alerts and issues that may arise in day‑to‑day operation of our product line
  
• Participate in an on‑call rota for priority‑1 level alarms with the rest of the Ops team
  
• Maintain network, server and storage assets in cloud environments
  
• Continue upgrades and improvements to infrastructure and processes
  
• Contribute to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes
  
• Interact with internal teams and external 3rd‑party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  
• Document process and developments
  

• 
  
• 7 years+ experience in DevOps / system administration supporting a production environment
  
• Experience scripting in at least one language (bash, python, php, go)
  
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  
• Experience with Kubernetes
  
• Experience with LEMP stack
  
• Understanding of networking and security concepts
  
• Deployment and debugging of complex applications
  
• Experience with cloud‑based services and virtualization
  
• Experience working with JVM

This is a hybrid role based in Dublin, Ireland or London / Milton Keynes, UK.
