A client is seeking a General Manager to join a Front of House team in Scottsdale, AZ, for an upscale restaurant group. The General Manager will act as the management representative responsible for supervising all Front of House operations. Key duties include managing the restaurant and ensuring the quality of work performed by all subordinates, maintaining hygiene standards, keeping the restaurant clean, and ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety standards. This role involves managing cost projections and forecasts, overseeing inventory and storage, and upholding the restaurant's housekeeping standards.
The General Manager will also be responsible for hiring, training, and motivating employees. Responsibilities include retraining staff as needed, orienting new employees to company policies, and teaching customer service skills and performance standards. The role demands fostering productivity and solid performance within the restaurant team through leadership, effective work planning, management techniques, and promoting positive employee morale.
Qualifications for this role include a minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Manager overseeing revenue levels of $15M or more. Candidates must have at least 5 years of senior-level management experience within a high-growth brand in the hospitality industry. Fine dining experience is essential for this position.
