Nurse Practitioner – Neurology
Role Overview
- Diagnostic Leadership: Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and interpret diagnostics (MRIs, EEGs, EMGs) to develop treatment plans for conditions such as Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s.
- Patient Outcomes: Manage long-term care strategies and lifestyle modifications to improve quality of life for patients with chronic neurological disorders.
- Continuum of Care: Coordinate smooth transitions between outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations, ensuring no patient is overlooked.
- Acute Collaboration: Work alongside board-certified neurologists during hospital rounds and shared on-call rotations to address urgent neurological needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active (or eligible) Maryland NP license
- Board certification via AANP or ANCC
- Neurology experience preferred, but motivated candidates with strong interest in neurosciences will be fully trained
