About

Position: Internal Sales Executive Location: Glasgow Package: £26k - £35k + Bonus Are you from a background in metals, builders merchants, plumbing merchants, industrial, engineering or industrial? Would you like to work in a reactive, fast paced sales role, with NO COLD CALLING? You have the opportunity to join a well established metals stockholder in Glasgow. This national business supplies a stainless, aluminium and other metals into a variety of industries across Scotland. Due to growth, this company requires a new Sales Executive for an office based role. The company will consider candidates from a metals background but is also very open to people from a builders merchant background or industrial/engineering background. Major Aims: * Answer all In-bound calls promptly aiming for 80% to be answered in less than 5 seconds. * Take advantage of all sales enquires to generate orders. * Deal with any sales enquires/queries. * To serve customers on Trade Counter. * To ensure Total Customer Satisfaction is achieved always. Description of Duties and Key Tasks: * Process customer orders swiftly, efficiently. LIVE * Offering alternatives if out of stock – offer range extensions. * Undertake prospecting tasks to the requirement of the Sales Manager. * No cold calling - contacting existing customers who have purchased or lapsed. * Work as part of a team ensuring that there is ample phone coverage before leaving work station. * Maintain good relations with existing customers. * Build good relations with new customers. * To assist customers with all enquiries/queries. * Ensure all enquires are replied to in the shortest possible time. * Maintain back order report daily. Keeping the customer informed of delivery times. * To provide quotes aiming to be competitive yet with maximum profit in mind. Maintain quotes daily. * Liaise with Accounts regarding credit limits. * Liaise with Purchasing and Transport regarding deliveries.
