Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Learning Content Developer who is responsible for the creation, maintenance and cataloguing of digital assets for Daikin Learning. Under limited supervision, you will work closely with Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts to support learning solutions for use in eLearning, including video, audio, and instructor‑led (virtual and in person). This role will lead mid‑size to large projects and will be expected to manage the work of both internal and external resources. The content that Daikin Learning produces contains highly technical engineering topics and would prefer someone with technical content experience. What you will do: Content Development (40%)
Creates engaging learning content for digital and in‑person learning solutions (eLearning, videos, schematics, technical models, etc.)
Creates learning content based on storyboards, design documents, and other instructional design artifacts
Provides multimedia and interactive design consultation to learning design team
Creates learning content using content authoring tools such as Articulate, Vyond, and others
Collaborates with learning and business teams to convert highly technical concepts and technical specifications into digital assets and learning designs
Follows the development process throughout the development phases (Alpha, Beta, Gold)
Interaction / Graphic Designer (40%)
Designs effective eLearning through interactions that are intuitive and supports learning
Uses graphical and visual design techniques that achieve modern and aesthetically pleasing designs
Uses approved software for the development of effective learning content
Process Improvement and Knowledge Management (10%)
Provides internal expertise for content management and quality control
Establishes templates and style guides to achieve efficient and consistent development across projects
Documents processes and coaches team members on process, templates, guidelines, etc.
Research, lead, and stay current on the latest design/development tools, practices, and technology
Project Management (10%)
Works concurrently on multiple projects; able to forecast completion dates and development effort (hours)
Leads and provides direction to other content developers
Coordinates internal and external resources throughout the development process
Manages the end‑to‑end design and development process
Accountable for projects to be delivered on‑time and within scope

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, User Experience (UX) Design, Digital Media / Multimedia, Communication / Media Studies
5 yrs Experience with several learning or engineering authoring/design tools, such as video production/editing, Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Articulate, Vyond, CAD Design, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D simulations, etc.
Strong knowledge base and experience with sales, service and/or corporate training topics
Robust understanding of multiple design/develop tools, modalities and technology
Strong project management skills
Ability to lead other team members and provide guidance on projects
Strong organizational and communication skills
Exhibits teamwork balancing team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views, gives and welcomes feedback and contributes to building a positive team spirit
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, User Experience (UX) Design, Digital Media / Multimedia Design, Communication / Media Studies
6-8 years
learning content development experience; able to leverage various modalities of design
Working knowledge and experience using Adobe Suite, SnagIt, Webex, Camtasia, CAD, , Cornerstone, Articulate, Vyond, Intrepid, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D simulations, SharePoint

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400k - $132,800k and a bonus potential up to 10% in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
