Your Role as Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, tailored to their age and development stage.
  • Enhance the overall daily needs of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and child learning journals with the highest quality.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
  • Support the key person approach to help children form secure attachments and identify training needs for staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.
What You Need

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – Essential.
  • Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years – Essential.
  • Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position – Desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating – Desirable.
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – Essential.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English – Essential.
