Quality Engineer

This is not a back-office QA role. You’ll be embedded in live M&E projects, working alongside delivery teams to ensure electrical installations are executed to the highest standard, from first fix through to commissioning and handover.

You’ll play a key role in driving a “right first time” culture, identifying issues early, and ensuring systems are delivered in line with design, specification and client expectations.

You’ll have visibility, responsibility, and the ability to influence how projects are delivered, not just report on them.

• Carry out inspections, snagging and quality control of electrical installations on site
  
• Review and validate electrical design against installation and specification
  
• Manage QA/QC documentation including test packs, inspection records and certification
  
• Coordinate RFIs and technical queries with design and project teams
  
• Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are completed to required standards
  
• Monitor subcontractor quality and ensure adherence to approved method statements and ITPs
  
• Track and close out NCRs, site instructions and quality issues
  
• Prepare and contribute to commissioning schedules and project quality plans
  
• Liaise with consultants, clients and internal teams to ensure quality expectations are met
  
• Support audits and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
  

• 
  
• Electrical engineering background with 5+ years’ experience in M&E projects
  
• Experience working in a contractor environment (data centres, industrial, building services or similar)
  
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, commissioning and project delivery
  
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
  
• Experience managing xcfaprz documentation, test packs and quality records
  
• Strong attention to detail with the confidence to challenge where standards aren’t met
  
• Comfortable working on site and engaging directly with project teams
