Location & Relocation This position is based in the greater Boston area (Charlestown) with a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days onsite per week.
Candidates must be open to relocating within approximately 60 days of accepting an offer. Relocation assistance will be provided to support moving expenses.

This is a senior, hands‑on analytics engineering role focused on transforming high‑volume IoT event data into scalable, production‑ready data models. The ideal candidate brings strong data modeling expertise along with a platform mindset and is comfortable working in complex, real‑time data environments. This role is critical to enabling the company’s shift toward predictive, data‑driven operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own modeling across three core IoT data domains:
Hardware (sensor data), Software/UI (clickstream), and Consumption (event‑based usage)
Transform high‑volume, streaming JSON data into clean, scalable, analytics‑ready models using
DBT + Snowflake
Design aggregation strategies (e.g., 5‑min, hourly, daily) that balance performance, cost, and usability
Productionize IoT datasets to support
self‑service analytics and downstream ML/AI use cases
Partner cross‑functionally with
Software, Hardware, Product, and Operations
to translate real‑world needs into data solutions
Help shape
data platform standards
including governance, access controls, and dev vs. prod environments
Establish best practices in
DBT modeling, documentation, and maintainability
Contribute to scaling a data platform built to support
company growth
What They’re Looking For
~5–8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar hands‑on roles
Strong experience with
event‑driven, time‑series, or streaming data
Advanced SQL + working knowledge of Python
Experience transforming raw/semi‑structured data (e.g., JSON) into production‑grade data models
Deep familiarity with
DBT and modern ELT practices
Experience with cloud data platforms ( Snowflake preferred )
Background building data models that support
analytics and/or ML use cases
Exposure to
data governance, permissions, and environment design (dev vs prod)
Ability to operate as a
senior‑level contributor and thought partner
Nice to Have
Clickstream or digital analytics experience
Exposure to Kafka, Influx, or streaming ingestion tools (collaboration level)
Experience supporting ML‑ready datasets or production ML workflows
Background in high‑growth, event‑heavy environments
Experience with IoT or connected device ecosystems
DISCLAIMERS In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local pay transparency and fair hiring laws, the target annual
base
salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000.
Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and work location.
This position may also be eligible for additional forms of compensation as well as a comprehensive benefits package provided by the hiring employer. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) or retirement plan, paid time off, and other employee programs.
