Overview Harnham is partnered with a high-growth, well-capitalized financial services organization to hire a
Data Engineer III
into a highly visible, business-facing role.
This position offers the opportunity to take on
advanced technical ownership within a lean, high-performing data team , contributing to the design and evolution of a modern data platform. The role will directly support
credit strategy, analytics, and enterprise decision-making .
The company operates in the lending and credit space and continues to scale in a dynamic market environment. Data is central to its success across
acquisition, underwriting, and operational reporting .
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize
scalable data pipelines
within a modern
cloud data architecture (AWS, Snowflake)
Develop and maintain
advanced SQL transformations
and
Python-based data workflows
Own and enhance
data modeling, data marts, and warehouse architecture , including legacy data modernization efforts
Partner closely with
analytics, credit, and business stakeholders
to deliver impactful data solutions
Support initiatives involving
credit data, transaction data, and data platform migrations
Ensure best practices in
data quality, governance, performance, and reliability
Contribute to
technical direction and standards
within the data engineering function
Required Qualifications
4–7+ years of experience in
Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering
Advanced proficiency in
SQL
(CTEs, window functions, complex transformations)
Strong experience with
Python for data engineering and processing
Hands‑on experience with
AWS and Snowflake (or similar cloud data platforms)
Solid understanding of
data modeling, warehousing, and pipeline design
Experience working with
cross‑functional and non‑technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
dbt, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
Background in
financial services, fintech, lending, or payments
Experience working with
credit data or transaction‑level datasets
