ORS is one of the leading fire engineering companies in Ireland. Our fire safety team consists of experienced and dynamic professionals, dedicated to providing the best fire safety service for our clients.


We are looking to grow our team into the UK and currently require an experienced Senior Fire Safety Engineer or Fire Safety Lead to join our expanding team. The role is ideal for professionals with strong technical backgrounds looking for the next step in their building consultancy career.


ORS operates a hybrid/remote model of working; we pride ourselves on being an industry leader in flexible working arrangements.


Preference will be given to those whose qualification is suitable to attain the title of Chartered Engineer with the IFE or equivalent.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop ORS’s presence in the UK, assisting in growing and mentoring the UK based team, while playing a lead role in delivering a range of exciting fire protection engineering projects.
  • Responsible for the technical, on-time and on-budget delivery of a range of fire engineering projects.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvements with responsibility for attending on-site, client and design team meetings and preparing fire safety strategies for a range of complex projects.

Essential Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in fire engineering.
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in the UK market
  • Highly self-driven
  • High level verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong focus on time and resource management
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Excellent people management and project execution capability.
  • Chartered status is preferable but not essential.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Based in the Midlands or London area.
