Become part of the connectivity software team and contribute to make NXP a leader in IoT MCU. You will be working with protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, ZigBee stacks and supporting various application layers like Matter. In other word, you will develop technologies which are setting the trends in the Internet of Things community !

As an experimented firmware engineer you will be developing Bluetooth Link Layer connectivity software running on top of the hardware RF subsystem of NXP MCU.

Your responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of new Bluetooth Link Layer features

• Ensure quality of the produced software through testing and development process compliance

• Contribute to defining and applying Link Layer integration strategy

• Support customer

Your team

With sites in Europe, US and China, NXP Edge Processing Connectivity Software team is a multi-cultural international team operating with an open, collaborative and agile mindset. You will be based in Sophia Antipolis, France, and report to the Link Layer Software manager.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing core features for link layer or mac software including at least 2 years specifically on Bluetooth Link Layer

• Good understanding of Wireless Communications (Bluetooth , Wi-Fi, Thread, ZigBee) and Networking Protocols (IP, UDP, TCP) 

• C programming skills

• University degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field

• English verbal and written communication skills

Furthermore, you have:

• Deep understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripherals

• Good knowledge of real-time systems and RTOS

• Ability to interpret mixed signal PCB schematics

• Exposure to A-Spice process is a plus
