POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sr Manager Network Planning EMEA & Asia has responsibility within both dimensions of the (A)Commercial Operations Planning, and the (B)Pre-Commercialization Operations Planning, integrating the product life cycle into the supply chain operations processes.
(A)For the Commercial Operations Planning dimension:

  • The position acts as process and implementation lead, across the different Operations Depts and across other cross functional partners, to develop, establish and implement an effective End-to-End (E2E) integrated Supply Chain Demand to Supply Planning process, with relevant methods, best practices, and tool.
  • That E2E integrated planning process is embedding the “Network” from Demand planning to Supply planning, interfacing mainly with Commercial group, Supply Chain group, and Finance group, as well as connecting with System and Master Data Management teams for the tool implementation part. To that point, one essential part of the role is linked to the Sales & Operations Process (S&OP) contributing to its effective implementation, and subsequent monthly cycle execution, with an initial focus on the implementation and management of the supply planning process, with the internal stakeholders (mainly SCM and Finance) and the external manufacturing network of Maesa sourcing points (CMO / CPO).
  • A key deliverable for this dimension is the demand and supply plan process and capability, generated as the “one reference data” for all functions, containing optimized supply plan which balances order fulfillment with inventory targets, minimize write off risks, and contributes to define relevant inventory strategy for each brand/business model of the entire portfolio. This part pf the role is closely linked to enable the overall S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
  • At the same time and still within (A)Commercial Operations Planning dimension, the Sr Manager Network Planning EMEA & Asia has also tactical responsibility in executing the Demand and Supply Planning monthly cycle duties, for a specific range of suppliers / brands / products. The outcome will be translating the commercial demand input into relevant supply planning for materials, semi/finished, and finished goods, as well as associated inventory management projection and analysis. The tactical responsibility continues up to the order placement and follow up on material and product supply, including transactional relating to it into company systems.
  • The role will also be in charge of implementing a “scrap risk” process including associated analytics and corrective and proactive action plan, eventually embedded within the S&OP process.

(B)

  • For the Pre-Commercialization Operations Planning: the role acts as lead to review and optimize the process and coordination between Operations and other Functions/Depts involved in the product creation and commercialization project management.
An essential part of that dimension is to set up visibility and process mapping for the E2E product life cycle activities, key milestones, and the relevant involvement of each Operations function within product creation and pre commercialization phases.
The outcome will generate mapping, process flow and cross functional alignment on RACI for necessary inputs and activities for Pre-Commercialization.
The role will be responsible to review roles and responsibilities, and establish a cross functional relevant RACI, although each function is remining accountable and responsible for their respective inputs, duties, activities and deliverables through product pre commercialization.

On both (A) and (B) dimensions, the role is operating intensively on cross-functional collaboration and coordination with various internal stakeholders at operational and management level (such as Innovation, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain Planning colleagues, QA, RA, R&D, Finance, Procurement, etc.), as well as external parties (such as Material suppliers, CMO’s, Customers, 3PL’s, etc.).

There is a strong System integration perspective for the Network Planning projects, Process, and activities, with the company ERP’s and associated applications.

The position requires being ready to manage complex situations through collaborative efforts with other functions, and with hands- on and solution-oriented approach, demonstrating a good balance of situational analysis thinking, and effective, methodic, and rigorous tactical execution.
