About
GLG’s Content and Events team is seeking an experienced Healthcare research professional to lead the team designing Healthcare-focused content and events, primarily for Financial Services clients. This includes down-the-line management of the team, driving editorial vision and strategy, and building relationships with clients and content experts to grow the business.
The right candidate for this role will have in-depth knowledge of a broad variety of healthcare topics, with the ability to lead conversations featuring cutting-edge healthcare experts, particularly academic KOLs, as well as investors. This person should be familiar with the key concepts and important players in the healthcare investment space. They have a passion for learning and educating others about healthcare topics, as well as a passion for growing a business.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Directly engage and build relationships with academic KOLs, healthcare executives, and investors to build the GLG healthcare community
Hire, mentor, and manage healthcare content professionals
Own the editorial vision and healthcare content strategy for GLG, including coordinating the team’s primary research into pharma, biotech, medical devices & diagnostics, and healthcare services spaces
Ensure that GLG healthcare content – both live and on-demand – is best-in-class quality
Ability to travel and host meetings tied to key global healthcare industry conferences
In partnership with the GLG’s Head of Content and Events, help to design and maintain a product suite that meets the needs of healthcare investors
Serve as a leader for GLG’s overall Content and Events team, as well as the broader GLG healthcare community
Effectively communicate GLG’s Mission, Vision, and Strategy
Represent the core values that underpin GLG’s culture and brand
Key performance metrics for this role include client content and event consumption and the overall performance of the GLG healthcare business, especially with key healthcare-focused clients.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
MD, PhD, and/or MBA preferred
Demonstrated experience with and deep knowledge of healthcare investing and the healthcare investment community
15+ years of buy-side or sell-side analyst experience; technical scientific experience; or combination of both
Must follow a bottoms-up investment research process focused on specific companies
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior professionals and work as part of a team
Intellectual curiosity with a passion for healthcare and a desire to learn
Strong commercial skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Outgoing personality with the ability to build relationships and lead a complex healthcare discussion in a room of experts

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair andequitable compensation practices.Actual compensation is basedon several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depthof experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
