Why This Role Exists
This role exists to support continued growth, increasing production demand, and the need for strong floor leadership across Vantedge Medical’s Wheeling, Illinois manufacturing operations.
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll be a key link between leadership and the shop floor—ensuring
safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets
are met while developing and supporting high-performing manufacturing teams producing critical medical components.

The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Direct and supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet
production, quality, delivery, WIP, and labor targets
Lead, coach, and support manufacturing employees in a hands-on production environment
Coordinate daily with
Production Management, Scheduling, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Tool Room, and Materials
Monitor equipment performance, staffing levels, and production metrics to minimize downtime
Evaluate daily production KPIs and escalate issues requiring additional support
Support and drive
process improvements, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Collaborate closely with Quality to ensure consistency and compliance across departments
Address employee concerns and performance issues professionally and promptly
Enforce company safety policies and maintain a compliant, safe work environment
Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure team success and skill development
Conduct performance evaluations, goal setting, and ongoing employee feedback
Build and adjust work schedules to meet changing business needs
Resolve conflicts at the lowest level possible, escalating when necessary
Support off-shift, weekend, or second-shift operations as business needs require

What We’re Looking For
Required
High School Diploma or GED
5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (medical devices, aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision manufacturing)
Proven leadership experience supervising production teams
Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Delivery)
Ability to support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Flexibility to support
all shifts , including weekends when required
Preferred (Not Required)
Exposure to
Swiss machining, CNC machining, or assembly operations
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical preferred)
