About
Responsibilities
Focus on utilizing the latest technologies and developing ever‑improving strategies to best deliver high‑quality scripts.
Own the development and quality of features being implemented on the Expedia iOS or Android app.
Provide and participate in code reviews to assess overall quality and flexibility, and apply good object‑oriented programming techniques.
Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an Agile team.
Write automated unit, system, and acceptance tests to support our continuous integration pipelines.
Translate functional specifications into logical, component‑based technical designs.
Collaborate closely with developers locally and across Expedia offices worldwide.
This position is not eligible for relocation benefits or assistance.
May work remotely from home two days per week; must live within commuting distance of an Expedia office.
Qualifications Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and at least four years of relevant engineering experience.
Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine frameworks.
Proficiency in at least one of Kotlin, Java, or Objective‑C.
Experience with MVVM and modular architecture in large‑scale iOS apps.
Amazon GraphQL, RESTful API integration, feature flagging, A/B testing, and remote configuration for multi‑brand apps.
iOS CI/CD build pipelines, release management, hotfixing, and tools such as Crashlytics, Firebase, TestFlight, and BrowserStack.
Unit testing, snapshot testing, and UI automation practices using Appium and Cucumber.
Understanding of accessibility, dynamic type, iOS interface guidelines, and iOS/Android design systems.
Map‑related development using MapKit and Google Maps in SwiftUI & UIKit frameworks.
Total cash range for this position in Austin, TX is $139,152 to $220,000 per year.
