*QUALIFICATIONS*
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institute.
2. Master’s degree is desirable.
3. Certification and/or licensure in Speech/Language Pathology by the State of Florida.
4. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
5. Additional or alternative qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board.
*REPORTS TO*
Principal and Coordinator of ESE
*JOB GOAL*
Provide a comprehensive program for students referred to the speech/language impaired program.
*PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Identify students with speech and/or language impairments.
* Determine program eligibility.
* Schedule students appropriately.
* Plan and conduct therapy programs and manage IEPs.
* Maintain audit files.
* Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators.
* Participate in child study team meetings.
* Provide statistical and program planning data.
* Order materials and supplies.
* Maintain certification and licensure requirements.
* Use effective interpersonal communication skills.
* Engage in continuing professional development.
* Perform additional assigned duties.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*
Requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, lifting up to 25 pounds, vision acuity, and working in a moderate-noise environment.
*TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT*
Salary and benefits in accordance with District compensation plan.
*EVALUATION*
Performance evaluated per Board policy.
*SALARY RANGE: $57,321 - $66,105*
*ADVANCE DEGREE SUPLEMENTS: * *MASTER’S DEGREE $2,667.00*; *SPECIALIST/DOCTORATE $3,667.00*
*208 DAY CALENDAR; 8 hours per day*
Pay: $57,321.00 - $66,105.00 per year
