Join Our Team as a Nursery Room Leader!

Position: Full-Time - up to 40 hours per week - £15.00 p/h

Your Role

As our Room Leader , you will:

  • Oversee the care and development of up to 15 babies, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for children under 2 years old.
  • Implement a key person approach to help babies form secure attachments.
  • Guide your team in identifying training and development needs.
  • Maintain high-quality learning journals and records using EyLog and EyMan systems.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, inviting them to participate in activities and keeping them informed about their child’s progress.
  • Model professionalism and consistency, fostering respect among your team, parents, and children.
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS framework and uphold safety standards.
  • Promote the welfare of all children, staff, and visitors at the nursery.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare (Essential)
  • Previous experience working with babies under 2 years old
  • A passion for the outdoors and outdoor learning, especially forest school activities
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to provide purposeful learning experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with parents and colleagues
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
