Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering or a related discipline, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Strong team leadership experience.
Experience leading hardware design efforts including requirements derivation through product integration support.
Experience with advanced processing systems that include hardware, software, and firmware elements.
Experience collaborating with all engineering disciplines and program personnel and participation in cross functional product development.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least the Secret level.

The Work Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineering Lead to join our Mission Systems team. In this senior role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. You’ll lead efforts to ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments. You will also utilize Digital Transformation practices, including model‑based engineering, test automation, and Agile development, to define product capabilities and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities Include
Leading product development activities and providing technical guidance to a team of engineers, including requirements derivation through product integration for products that include hardware, software, and firmware components.
Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including the Systems Engineering and Hardware Development Process Implementation.
Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables, and ensuring cost and schedule commitments are met.
Managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.
Additional Details This position is fulltime onsite in Owego, NY. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at Secret level.
