Role Description

Store Manager – Cork New Store Opening


This dynamic and fearless company partners with leading beauty retailers in Ireland, offering a premium client experience and an expanding footprint. Our Cork studio represents an exciting new independent store opening, providing an opportunity to shape the store, lead a team from the ground up, and deliver exceptional service in a premium environment.


The Role: As the Salon Manager for our Cork store, you will have the unique opportunity to set the standard from day one. You will lead recruitment, training, and development of your team, ensuring a world‑class customer experience while achieving ambitious sales and growth targets. You will also play a key role in driving brand awareness in the local market, working alongside the Marketing Manager to implement promotional activities, campaigns, and experiential events that position the Cork store as a premium beauty destination. We are seeking a highly experienced manager with a minimum 3 years managing a team of 10+ in premium beauty retail or salon environments, who is commercially astute, innovative, and capable of driving performance and brand presence from launch.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the launch of the new Cork store, recruiting, training, and developing your team to deliver exceptional service and results.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, driving year‑on‑year sales growth.
  • Build and maintain KPIs, operational processes, and brand standards from the outset.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute local marketing campaigns, promotional events, and brand initiatives to drive awareness, footfall, and customer loyalty.
  • Conduct performance management, appraisals, and coaching, fostering a high‑performing culture.
  • Address and resolve staff conflicts and operational challenges with solution‑focused leadership.
  • Oversee rosters, staffing budgets, and stock management, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Represent the studio professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service, leadership, and team engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for community engagement and partnership initiatives to enhance the studio’s profile and visibility.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a team of 10+ in a premium beauty retail or salon environment.
  • Strong commercial, strategic, and innovative experience, with a track record of driving sales and performance growth.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Experience in brand awareness, local marketing, or promotional activities is highly desirable.
  • Solution‑oriented, innovative, and able to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to develop and motivate teams from launch and set high standards.
  • Understanding of KPIs, budgeting, and financial accountability.
  • Passion for the beauty industry and delivering outstanding client experiences.

Desirable

  • Beauty qualifications (not essential), ideally in skincare, hair, or professional beauty treatments.
  • Experience in premium retail or independent store launches.
