Financial Controller - Dublin
To work in the office of Lazard Fund Managers (Ireland) Ltd (“LFMI”) acting as the Financial Controller and Designated Person responsible for Capital and Financial Management (PCF‑39A) relating to LFMI.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all Finance matters for LFMI including Group Reporting to Lazard New York, Reporting to the Irish Board of Directors, preparation of Semi‑Annual and Annual Financial Statements and all regulatory and taxation reporting requirements.
The role will also involve the oversight of branch accounts for four branches of LFMI in Spain, Netherlands, Sweden and Belgium including management of all Finance related matters for the branches and the consolidation into LFMI’s accounts.
Responsibilities
- Oversight and day‑to‑day bookkeeping – accounting for receipts and payments in the seven currency corporate operating accounts, management of LFMI’s FX exposure
- Oversee processing accounts payable invoices, American Express and Out of Pocket expenses, ensuring compliance with the Travel & Expense Policy
- Oversight of accounts payable payment runs, processing intercompany, VAT, rebate and renewal commission payments
- Responsible for preparing and completing LFMI Management accounts, ensuring all revenue and expenses are correctly recorded, all required accruals are captured and within the reporting timeframe for inclusion in the London Parent consolidation group for onward reporting to head office in New York
- Oversight of various month‑end reconciliations e.g. Bank, Debtors and Creditors
- Liaising with Lazard offices to obtain and complete the monthly Transfer Pricing calculations for inclusion in the monthly accounts
- Review and check all intercompany monthly accruals for all inter‑company offices (Germany, Paris, Japan, London and Australia)
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and calculate monthly depreciation
- Support London HR and manage payroll journals
- Instruct the administrators for LGIF and LGAF umbrella funds to process and pay fund related invoices directly from the funds
- Manage/coordinate the various ROS (Revenue online System) filing and ONR filings (Central Bank of Ireland online reporting system)
- Preparation of Minimum Capital Requirements for Central Bank of Ireland
- Responsible for the production of LFMI’s Semi‑Annual and Annual Financial Statements
- Main point of contact for all external Auditor queries
- Prepare a monthly cash flow statement
- Production of the LFMI budget and forecasts
- Liaising with tax consultants regarding the filing and payment of corporation tax returns and iXBRL reporting requirements
- Preparation of annual Form 46G form
- Collate and provide Senior Management MI as required

You’ll need to have
- 5 years qualified Accountant and management accounting experience
- Knowledge of the Irish Fund industry and UCITS advantageous
- Experience working with Administrators and Auditors advantageous
- Experience working within a global Asset Management environment advantageous
- Excel knowledge and accounting systems experience
