Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator role is to ensure products, services and processes meet or exceed customer requirements.
This individual will support operations by establishing trends, identifying defects in quality, finding cost avoidance through continuous improvement, ensuring customer satisfaction, driving down complaints, establishing process to contribute toward improving quality at the site.
The Quality Assurance Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert and will be knowledgeable in our diverse products, department procedures and policies and advanced in their system understanding.
Major Responsibilities:
Reduce Claims and improve quality
Monitor load proof and audit pictures
Audit OB loads and loading standards
Troubleshoot damages
Review returns
Track trends for mispicks to support operations
Work with Inventory and CSRs to find opportunities to reduce claims
Site Administrative Tasks
Work with Shell on customer packaging issues
Provide weekly feedback to the site leader to include trends and tracking
Oversee relabeling process to assist operations.
Manage the relabeling process, and review opportunities
Find 100k per year in cost avoidance
Rework process improvement and tracking
Educate and retrain the team as needed
Review Penske quality systems
Participate in the Kaizen program
Perform Gemba walks with site leadership and process improvement teams
Other projects and task as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2-4 year of experience in a distribution center environment (WMS controlled) with inventory or quality background required.
Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills required.
Computer Skills: Ability to train and trouble shoot, proficient in search, typing and downloading information.
Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Operating Systems – ability to learn the critical low-level software that supports all other applications. Ability to navigate and use multiple computer programs at once.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of organization.
Attention to Detail – Must be proficient in providing accurate details which impacts the success of our associates and a reflection on their overall performance.
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management.
Experience with Blue Yonder preferred.
Regular, predictable, and full attendance is required
