Position Overview Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Expert in OCR, NLP, LLMs, and deep learning. Experience integrating these tools into Intelligent Document Processing solutions preferred. Must demonstrate technical proficiency and a proven record of engineering software solutions for unstructured data. Able to communicate clearly with engineers, PMs, customers, and executive teams.
Responsibilities
Inform product decisions by leveraging technical knowledge of IDP/Generative AI solution architectures and best practices.
Propose forward‑thinking ideas in support of data‑centric product development.
Develop code for IDP use cases using preferred programming languages to support client requirements.
Utilize LLMs and other Generative AI/Deep Learning algorithms to provide unique solutions.
Contribute to interdisciplinary solutions combining data engineering and AI/ML to integrate predictive models.
Work within a growing engineering team to support software and systems solutions across customers and projects.
Collaborate with Engineering Team Leads and team members to design and develop solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of professional, hands‑on experience in machine learning engineering, specifically IDP‑related.
Technical proficiency in Intelligent Document Processing, including OCR/NLP algorithms, generative AI, deep learning, programming languages, and system architectures.
Well‑rounded and willing to learn across all technical areas of the project.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and organized.
Ability to work effectively remotely in cross‑functional teams.
Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
Experience and/or certification in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure (plus certifications).
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence.
SQL, C#.
Relational and non‑relational database knowledge such as MongoDB; Python.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD automation.
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers.
Clearance Requirements U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location United States – Remote. The role may involve periodic work from a Pantheon Data office or client site as needed.
Compensation Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000. Compensation is based on experience, location, and contractual factors and may vary.
