The organization seeks a Linux Systems Administrator to support distributed compute operations and server stability across Linux, Unix, Windows, hypervisors, and storage. The role will manage incident response, drive change execution, and collaborate with engineering and global operations teams to improve automation and reliability. The position emphasizes Red Hat Linux administration, virtualization, storage management, security compliance, and cross‑team coordination.

Rate: $44.00 to $54.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities
Represent distributed compute and storage operations on incident calls and drive high severity incident resolution.
Administer and maintain Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems along with hypervisors and hardware.
Execute security compliance patching and ensure stability of server environments.
Collaborate daily with peers across operations teams and international teams.
Identify and implement automation opportunities across DevOps and engineering operations.
Perform change execution and contribute to operations KPIs and metrics.
Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, and storage issues.
Coordinate with vendors to complete root cause analyses and implement solutions.
Drive process improvements to enhance environment reliability, self‑service, and self‑healing.
Experience Requirements
5+ years of IT experience across server and storage infrastructure technologies.
Hands‑on expertise with Red Hat Linux 7, 8, and 9.
Knowledge of Linux security, identity and access management, and Delinea.
Experience with disk storage management and storage subsystems.
Virtualization experience with VMware ESX and related platforms.
On‑call support coverage for enterprise operations.
Strong troubleshooting of OS, hardware, and storage issues.
Scripting experience with Shell and Python; exposure to Node or Angular is a plus.
Experience leading incident calls and partnering with enterprise customers and application teams.
Familiarity with Agile methodology and IT service management.
Understanding of infrastructure stacks including Linux, AIX, Windows, VMware, and server hardware from major vendors.
Experience with Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (preferred).
Proven experience with Veritas Storage Foundation or Veritas Cluster Server (preferred).
Experience with Windows, VMware, and OLVM (preferred).
Experience with SAN, NAS, or CAS infrastructures (preferred).
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
