Baseline Requirements
Currently enrolled as a university student (undergraduate or graduate) in their Sophomore year or above.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Available to work Full‑time starting Summer 2026

Cybersecurity Software Engineering Intern Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Relations Education: Required: Student BS Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science - 3 to 5 semesters completed. Preferred: Student MS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, need strong interest in Information Security / Cybersecurity.
Basic Required Skillset
Proficient in software design and development. Familiarity with Python, JavaScript and UML is a plus.
Ability to read, comprehend and work with long documents (Security Standards and Regulations for example).
Ability to write summary reports and 6‑pagers.
Ability to use Siemens approved AI tools to optimize work process.
Familiar with computer networking concepts. Knowledge of cloud computing is a plus.
Understanding of information security concepts.
Knowledge of secure design and development.
Understanding of software development processes.
Excellent problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Quick learner.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with remote teams.
Ability to adhere to scheduled and team‑agreed timelines.
Responsibilities
Create syncs linking security monitoring tools to GRC tools.
Create dashboard to monitor risks and vulnerabilities.
Create scripts to parse and compare existing documentation to create new documents.
Create tools to be used by the organization to keep the GRC tools up to date.
Gain understanding of security regulations like EU CRA and standards like IEC 62443.
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
