Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud & Infrastructure)

Join a well-established technology company that develops and operates large-scale cloud platforms used by organisations across Ireland and the UK. They are hiring a Principal Platform Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure behind a critical production platform.

The role focuses on reliability, automation, and infrastructure scalability across both cloud and private environments. You will play a key role in ensuring systems remain resilient, secure, and ensure performance while helping to improve deployment processed and operational standards.

• Design and maintain Linux-based infrastructure across AWS and private environments
  
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and business continuity
  
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis
  
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  
• Manage monitoring, logging, and performance across production systems
  
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
  

• 
  
• 8–10+ years experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE roles
  
• Experience managing production infrastructure in AWS or public cloud environments
  
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or similar
  
• Monitoring and observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar)
  
• Strong networking knowledge including routing, firewalls, and load balancing
