Job Summary:
The Data Engineer role is responsible for delivering enterprise data lifecycle solutions within the data warehouse to support analytical and business intelligence processes across the organization. This position focuses on the core mechanics of a Data Warehouse including requirements gathering, data modeling, process architecture, ETL/ELT pipeline development, analytical reporting, and CICD pipeline management. The Data Engineer role will interface with business users to understand requirements and translate them into value-driven solutions. They will be required to effectively communicate technical solutions within the team and provide candid feedback to others. The Data Engineer will be expected to operate autonomously with little guidance or instruction for implementation of established patterns.

15+ Years Experience in Data Engineering
Expert Knowledge of SQL
Expert Knowledge of Data Modeling
Expert in Data Pipeline Development
Expert in Enterprise Data Warehouse Design and Implementation
Expert in Event Driven Architecture
Proficient in Python/PySpark (Or Equivalent Language)
Proficient in CICD Pipeline Development and Repository Branch Management
Proficient in Analytical Report Development

Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to solve complex business use cases and analytical requirements within the Azure and Snowflake ecosystem
Model raw data sets into a dimensional model as fact and dimension tables
Architect pipelines to process data from point of consumption to delivery, utilizing the Import, Extract, Clean, Conform, and Delivery method
Create technology patterns for data movement that define strict security guidelines and oversee the implementation at an enterprise level
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate the deployment and promotion of code through environments
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline health and performance issues, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime, improve performance, ensure data quality and increase reliability
Perform peer reviews of deliverables and code to ensure the stability, maintainability, and scalability of data engineering solutions
Design and implement data visualization and reporting solutions to enable business users to easily access and analyze data
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and system configurations, ensuring knowledge transfer and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
Developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members
