Quality Assurance Manager

Scope of the Position The Quality Assurance Manager will play a crucial role in the implementation and maintenance of our quality management system (ISO 9001). This manager will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives while supporting and promoting quality enhancement efforts throughout the plant. You will lead the development, execution, and follow-up of Corrective Action Plans as quality issues arise. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and enhance techniques for quality control and reliability. Collaborate with Engineering on process improvements and engineering modifications. Maintain organized recordkeeping systems and procedures. Communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing, with all personnel levels. Design and implement systems for data collection, maintenance, and analysis. Inspect incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Manage nonconforming materials, RMAs, and corrective actions effectively. Issue certifications for finished products. Conduct and manage internal audits. Coordinate the calibration of gauges and measuring instruments. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in quality engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. Six Sigma certification or certified quality engineer status is a plus. Understanding customer needs, quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, cost management, and strategies to enhance the manufacturing and distribution of goods. Familiarity with machines and tools, including their design, application, and maintenance is advantageous. Strong arithmetic and statistical skills with practical applications. Able to develop, plan, and implement both short- and long-term goals. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in database applications, especially Microsoft Office; experience with statistical software is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Highly motivated, service-oriented individual with keen attention to detail. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Strong decision-making capabilities. Excellent presentation skills. Competency in computer applications; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is a plus. Experience using measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, thread rings, and thread plugs.
