About

About the role: Take the lead in designing and developing cutting-edge, high-capacity networking systems tailored for the evolving landscapes of AI infrastructures. Responsibilities: Innovate and deliver the next generation of chassis and line cards. Conduct detailed 2D tolerance analysis for intricate electro-mechanical assemblies utilizing spreadsheets and 3D tolerance analysis tools. Create groundbreaking mechanical solutions using sheet metal, injection-molded plastic, die-cast, and extrusion processes, ensuring compliance with EMI, safety, and other regulations. Develop 3D CAD models with expertise in Creo (preferred), Windchill for PDM, or Solidworks. Produce board outline drawings and configure ECAD processes by establishing keep-out areas, height restrictions, and trace and via limitations for PCB layout designers. Organize and generate essential product documentation, including BOMs, part numbers, and ECOs. Work collaboratively with thermal engineers to devise and implement effective cooling solutions. Design cooling systems for both liquid-cooled and forced-cooled network equipment. Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS/MS/PhD) with over 10 years of relevant experience in Telecom and Datacenter product development. Familiarity with EIA, ETSI, or OCP rack standards. Proficient in designing with connectors like OSFP/QSFP-DD/OSFP-XD for front-panel and orthogonal back-plane applications. Understanding of MSA standards and optical cage form factors. Strong grasp of tolerancing and tolerance loops. NEBS knowledge is an advantage.
