Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with requirements or clearly identify exceptions to be taken.
Perform process calculations and size equipment to meet customer specifications and overall strategy.
Clearly define scope of work and develop associated cost estimates.
Review vendor and subcontractor quotes for compliance with specifications and completeness of scope
Work with Sales team to communicate with the Customer both directly and indirectly
Drive product improvement and standardization of designs.
Qualifications and skills:
The ideal candidate for this role has process, mechanical and electrical aptitude and is comfortable problem-solving issues on industrial equipment.
The successful candidate will be able to translate those solutions into proposals for customers and communicate them with the Operations team for project execution.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
5 or more years of experience in Pollution Control equipment
Demonstrated knowledge of process equipment design
Working knowledge of oxidation and combustion systems.
Working knowledge of Fans/Motors/VFD's and their respective engineering calculations
Ability to understand fabrication and field installation criteria and the ability to development preliminary scopes of work for outside pricing activities
Familiar with EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) test methods and regulations
Knowledge of SAP is a plus
Ability to create and maintain project schedules
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
Able to effectively interface with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers
Occasional travel may be required with Sales and Operations - 0-5% travel
Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Position will be in De Pere, WI or Southfield, MI
Physical Demands:
Main duties are computer based. On-site duties may include climbing stairs and ladders.
