Responsibilities:

Design custom baking equipment using SolidWorks, focusing on weldments, sheet metal, and assemblies.

Create general arrangement drawings for approval and manufacturing.

Generate cut lists to optimize material use and reduce waste.

Design custom production fixtures to enhance efficiency and ensure consistency.

Create bills of materials and use Sage 100 for cost estimation and budgeting.

Collaborate with fabricators to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure NSF-quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field ().

Proficiency in SolidWorks (weldments, sheet metal design, and assemblies).

Experience creating general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and bills of materials.

Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of quality control.

Familiarity with Sage 100 for cost estimation, production entries, and receipt of goods.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and practices.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to speak Spanish ().

Additional Tasks & Responsibilities:

Oversee floor operations in the absence of management and ensure timely communication for any urgent matters.

Proactively follow up on outstanding tasks and ensure deadlines are met.

Assist with daily production scheduling using an Excel workbook to prioritize tasks and optimize workflow.

Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes and update material costs in Sage 100.

Manage receipt of goods and ensure accurate production entries in Sage 100.

Create and organize production packets from sales orders, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.

Set up and operate the CNC brake press in the absence of the sheet metal fabricator to ensure uninterrupted production.

Provide additional support during peak periods, including overtime, to meet project deadlines.
