Position Overview

Title:

Sr. Data Engineer

Salary Range:

$145k - $150k

Location:

Remote is acceptable, with a preference for candidates in

Las Vegas ,

Denver ,

Atlanta , or

Chicago .

Role Responsibilities

Database Structures & ETL Design

Build and design database structures to support evolving data needs.

Develop

ETL pipelines

for efficient and accurate data movement between systems.

Ensure scalability and functionality during the transition from

SQL Server

to

Azure SQL .

Migration to Azure SQL

High-priority project

set to go live by March 2025.

Re-engineer legacy systems, address data integrity issues, and add functionality for new acquisitions.

Expertise with

Azure SQL , including backup and restore methods (e.g., using

Backpacks ), is critical.

Key Tools and Technologies

Mandatory:

SQL Server, Azure SQL, and SSIS.

Preferred:

Azure Data Factory, Blob Storage, Logic Apps, and other Azure cloud tools.

Highly skilled in

SQL

for troubleshooting and analyzing data without relying on extensive documentation.

Key Challenges

Migrating large datasets from legacy systems to Azure SQL.

Managing unstructured data ingested through varied mechanisms (e.g.,

SFTP ,

faxed files ).

Addressing scalability and reusability issues on the new platform.
