Data Engineer III Location:

Southwestern Region (Hybrid or Remote)

Description: The Data Engineer III will play a critical role in managing, migrating, and automating data processes for finance applications. This position focuses on working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Dataverse, and Azure platforms to create tools and frameworks that optimize data management, migration, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise and a proactive approach to implementing best practices in data governance and integration.

Responsibilities: Data Management and Migration: Develop and test data entities, structures, and configurations in D365 Finance. Oversee and execute database upgrade processes using self-service environments. Design and implement data migration and mapping strategies to support operational needs.

Integration with Dataverse and Azure: Configure and validate Dataverse Dual Write operations for synchronized data across systems. Integrate D365 Finance with Azure Data Lake and Synapse to facilitate advanced analytics and reporting.

Automation and Tool Development: Build tools, processes, and automation frameworks to streamline test data set creation in lower environments. Support data extraction workflows for integration with third-party data lakes.

Governance and Optimization: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy and security. Design strategies for archive and purge operations to enhance system performance.

Required Skills: Advanced knowledge of D365 Finance, including Data Management Framework (DMF) and data entities. Hands-on experience with data migration, mapping, and database upgrades. Proficiency in Dataverse Dual Write operations and Azure integrations. Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and querying. Familiarity with Azure services such as virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and key vaults. Experience working with Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and lead workstreams effectively. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and data security standards.

Desired Skills: Experience in integrating third-party tools with Microsoft environments. Background in financial data systems and related compliance requirements.

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: Pay range: $78-$110/hour
