Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is currently recruiting an EHS Engineer to join their team in Sligo on a temporary, 12-month contract.

Responsibilities:
As an EHS Engineer, you will be responsible for the following (full job description available on request):
- Ensuring that the plant maintains the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety in a constantly changing business environment.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with all statutory Employment and EHS-related legislation, as well as company Corporate Technical Standards and Policies.
- Developing systems and procedures to optimise safety, health, and environmental performance at the site, while complying with relevant EHS legislation.
- Implementing effective contractor management systems and maintaining Contractor Safety Performance KPIs.
- Providing guidance and support to meet the requirements of the client’s Global EHS Management and Technical Standards, ISO, and other external regulations.
- Maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Certification.
- Working with managers to ensure employees are trained to defined competency standards in all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments throughout the plant and overseeing training on risk assessments.
Requirements:
- BSc in Occupational Safety & Health Level 8, or equivalent, or a degree in a related discipline.
- 2-3 years relevant experience is desirable. xcfaprz
