Senior Nursery Practitioner

Location: Holly Corner Day Nursery, 104 Shrub End Road, Colchester

Salary: £29,265 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, All year round

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
• Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
• Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
• Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
• Help implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children.
• Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
• Understand and comply with the statutory framework for the EYFS.

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential.
• Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential.
• More than 6 months’ experience in a senior position - Desirable.
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable.
• Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential.
• Fluency in written and spoken English - Essential.
